This Privacy Policy describes how Fast Scanner (the “App”), when installed from Google Play, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the App on Android devices.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Android version of Fast Scanner distributed via Google Play (package identifier as listed on your Play Store listing). If you use our website or other services, additional terms may apply.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information you provide

• Scans and documents: Images and PDFs you create or import are processed on your device and stored locally in app-designated storage unless you choose to export or share them.
• Export and share: When you use Share or save to Files, content is handled by your device and the apps or services you select. We do not receive those files on our servers solely because you used Share.
• Support: If you email us, we process the information you include in your message.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• App diagnostics & configuration: We may use Firebase services (e.g., Remote Config, Analytics) to deliver feature flags, measure aggregate usage, and improve stability.
• Advertising: If enabled, we may show ads through Google Mobile Ads and related partners. Where applicable, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent.
• Purchases: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive limited transaction-related information needed to validate entitlement as allowed by Google.

2.3 Permissions

The App may request permissions such as camera, photos/media, and storage (or Android equivalents for your OS version) to provide scanning, saving, and sharing. You can review or revoke permissions in your device settings.

3. How we use information

We use this information to provide scanning and export features, operate and improve the App, show ads where permitted, honor Pro/subscription entitlements, and comply with law.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

If the GDPR or similar laws apply, we may rely on contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation as appropriate.

5. Sharing of information

We may share information with Google (Firebase, Google Play, Google Mobile Ads), advertising and measurement partners, and authorities when required by law. We do not sell your personal information for money.

6. Retention

On-device content remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Vendor-held data follows those services’ retention. Support emails are kept as needed to respond and for ordinary records.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Contact us if you believe we have collected data from a child.

9. International transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries where we or our vendors operate.
